CPP General Assembly Calls for a United Front

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) General Assembly says it will focus on building and strengthening the party to be stronger and cleaner both politically and mentally.

On December 10, the General Assembly stated that it will reinforce strong internal unity, connect with the people and have sufficient capacity to lead. It also agreed to successfully implement the political program for the defense of the motherland 2023-2028 by strengthening party committees in the capital, the provinces and the ministries to ensure that all local iterations of the party are strong and that its officials act with virtue and ability.

The General Assembly instructed party committees at all levels to strive to better implement the decisions of the Central Committee’s Standing Committee on joint plans for the next general election in five years. It noted that councils at all levels from cities to neighborhood districts are strategically important to the party.

The General Assembly also called on its members to unite under the umbrella of the Constitution, the King and the Royal Government to maintain peace, strengthen democracy and create new major achievements in Cambodia’s development.
